| Ever heard of Chiengora? Think dog hair + other fibre and there
you have it! At $8 per ounce to handspin it either alone or mixed
with wool, alpaca, silk, or mohair it's a great way to create a
momento of your favourite pet. It will be carded on our equipment
then handspun into a 2-ply worsted weight yarn. Samples available. |
Welcome to Dyeing For Colour Fibre Works. We are located in Trenton
Ontario, about mid way between Toronto and Kingston, just minutes from
the 401. Dyeing for Colour has existed for years as a business devoted
to dyeing fibre and supporting the spinning and felting community, but
we decided in 2009 that farmer's need a little love too. So we
purchased picking and carding equipment, and opened a Fibre Works.
Our brand new 36 inch card makes a lovely thick 2 inch roving, and
everything is installed and working great.
We will be offering a variety of services. In addition to washing,
picking and carding your fleeces, we will also offer custom dyeing of
your fibre and/or the addition of dyed or undyed fibres from our stock.

regularly.
